Gaia the Giant Leonburger – thinking of you! RIP
Gaia was a GIANT dog. Leonburgers by breed are huge. Did she use her size to intimidate, harass, dominate, alpha other dogs? NEVER once. Never crossed her mind. She was a big lover, good vibes, could take her to the park off leash and she would just stand there by you. AHHHHH I miss her. I watched her and her brother 40+ times for long periods of time, over 3 years. Gaia taught me, reemphasized that people want to think oh dogs got to fight eachother, always chase being the big dog. NO dogs are not at all like humans stereotype them to be. Happy to still watch Gaia’s brother Stud, and their new dog a rescus from Mexico Chica, husky mix. Will post videos of them soon when I see them. Gaia! We will never forget you. RIP. Leonburgers are known to be gentle giants, and react to the mood of their humans.
Here is some great information about Leonburgers from Leonburger Club

(Right) Gaia’s younger brother Stud. Leonburger, black lab mix. Super well behaved, (Right) Chica, Husky mix they adopted from Mexico after Gaia passed. So it is Gaia’s step sister no just her sister. Chica was a street dog in Mexico they adopted thru a program. No they did not just snatch her lol but Chica is SO cute and lovable it would be hard not too. Plus now Stud is not alone. Wonderful how it all worked out. You will see plenty of them on this page. I watch them and walk them alot.
